Buyer protection: pay with M-Pesa, money held in escrow until you receive your gadget How it worksSell on BestGadgetHelp

Buyer protection

Buying electronics online in Kenya shouldn't be a gamble. Here's how we keep your money safe.

1

You pay BestGadget

Pay via M-Pesa STK push at checkout. The money comes to BestGadget — not directly to the seller.

2

We hold it in escrow

The seller is notified that you paid, but cannot touch the money yet.

3

Seller ships

The seller dispatches your item and marks it shipped, with any tracking details.

4

You confirm

Check the item. Happy? Tap "Confirm delivery" and the seller gets paid. Something wrong? Open a dispute.

Good to know

  • If you don't confirm or dispute within 3 days after the seller marks the order shipped, payment is released automatically.
  • Disputes freeze the payment. Our team reviews evidence from both sides and decides on a refund or release, usually within 24 hours.
  • Every seller is vetted: national ID, KRA PIN and business premises are checked before they can sell.
  • Never pay a seller directly (Pochi, Till, cash) for an item listed on BestGadget — you lose all protection.
